Setting up your KnowFlow account

Follow these steps to get started with KnowFlow and create your first AI assistant.

Create an account

Sign up for a KnowFlow account at app.knowflow.in. You can sign up with your email.

Create a organization

After logging in, you’ll be prompted to create your first organization.
  • Enter a name for your organization
  • Add a brief description
  • Invite team members (optional)
Your organization will serve as the central hub for all your knowledge bases and AI assistants.

Create a knowledge base

Next, create your first knowledge base to store information:
  1. Go to the Knowledge Bases section in the sidebar
  2. Click Create Knowledge Base
  3. Enter a name and description
  4. Click Create

Add knowledge sources

You can import information from multiple sources:
  1. Select your knowledge base
  2. Click Add Sources → Upload Document
  3. Select and upload your files (PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD formats supported)
  4. The system will automatically process and index your documents
  1. Select your knowledge base
  2. Click Add Sources → Custom QA Pairs
  3. Add custom Question & Answer pairs
  4. The system will automatically process and index your QA pairs
  1. Select your knowledge base
  2. Click Add Sources → Website URL
  3. Enter the website URL you want to index
  4. Set crawling options (depth, page limits, etc.)
  5. Click Add
  1. Select your knowledge base
  2. Click Add Sources → GitHub
  3. Enter repository details (owner/repo format)
  4. Configure indexing options
  5. Click Connect

Create an AI integration

Now that your knowledge base is ready, create an AI integration:
  1. Go to the Integrations section in the sidebar
  2. Click Create Integration
  3. Choose the integration type (Web Chat, Discord Bot, etc.)
  4. Enter name and description
  5. Select the knowledge base(s) to connect
  6. Configure appearance and behavior settings
  7. Click Create

Deploy your integration

Deploy your newly created integration where your users need help:
  1. Go to your integration in the Integrations section
  2. Navigate to the Embed tab
  3. Copy the provided JavaScript snippet
  4. Paste it into your website’s HTML before the closing </body> tag
  1. Go to your integration in the Integrations section
  2. Navigate to the Discord tab
  3. Follow the instructions to connect your Discord server
  4. Set channel permissions and bot behavior
  1. Go to your integration in the Integrations section
  2. Navigate to the Slack tab
  3. Click Connect to Slack
  4. Follow the authorization steps
  5. Select channels where the bot should operate
